Mission and Partnerships

The mission of the Guardians of the Range is to promote sound science and community partnerships in public land grazing management.

The Guardians is a non-profit public lands grazing organization founded in 2003 currently focusing its efforts in northwest Wyoming. The group works to assist public land ranchers, communities and public land managers to fairly and responsibly implement rangeland stewardship in the balanced interests of the public resources, and the affected economies in the region.

The Guardians work in partnership with the Bighorn National Forest, Shoshone National Forest, Bureau of Land Management's Wind River District, Wyoming Department of Agriculture, the Wyoming State Grazing Board, and Conservation Districts.
